02. SUNBEAM: A Sylvia Monologue
A 10 minute cinematic monologue exploring themes of isolation, hopelessness, self abuse and individualism.
SUNBEAM: A Sylvia Monologue, a one-man follow on from Sylvia (2020) is another gut-wrenching installment from writer/director George Earwicker, and myself. Our goal with the original short was to open a conversation; this short intends to disect that conversation, displaying the nitty-gritty of the serious issues within the male psyche. It's grim, it's dark, and it's very true. The crew and I worked very hard to ensure this production properly captures the weight of the film's predecessor, and it's such an important work of art to me.
Viewer discretion is advised.
TW: Addiction, abuse, self-harm, suicide.
